We give great thanks to God. On May 9, 2009 Sr. Mary Joseph of the Holy Family, while surrounded by a strong community of believers, was blessed to be given the great gift of taking her First Profession of Religious Vows.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass begins with the Entrance Procession. Sr. Agnes, Novice Mistress, carries the Cross.

Friends of the Community and Sr. Joseph's family members listen attentively to the Opening Prayers.

In the hands of Sr. Anne, our Prioress, Sr. Joseph makes profession and promises obedience to God and the Church according to the Rules of St. Augustine and the Constitutions of our Order.

Sr. Joseph and Sr. Anne exchange a warm embrace.

Monseignor Zenz, main Celebrant of the Mass, blesses the sacred veil prior to Sr. Joseph's reception.

Clothed in the sacred black veil, a sign of Profession, Sr. Mary Joseph and Sr. Mary Martin, founder of the Community, exchange a warm embrace.

Sr. Mary Joseph greets her Mother and Father with joy after taking her Vows and receiving the Veil.

We were grateful to have as Con-Celebrants of the Mass, Fr. Carlos, chaplain of the Community (not pictured), Fr. Jerry of St. Anne's Parish in Ortonville, Fr. O'Hagen, long time friend of the Community and Fr. Heier, Sr. Joseph's former Spiritual Director.

Friends of the Community sing joyful songs to the Lord in thanksgiving and praise.

Thank you to all of our friends who were so generous in providing such warmth and support on such a special day. How happy we were to celebrate with all!

Sr. Mary Joseph's Parents and the Community laugh as they have their photograph taken by friends.

Sr. Mary Joseph is grateful to have had present many family members including cousins, aunts and uncles to share in the happiness of the day.
